Tobogganing

With momentum into the valley

The approximately 3 km long and therefore longest toboggan run in Eastern Austria is an absolute winter highlight on the Semmering Hirschenkogel. The run is floodlit in the evening and can therefore also be used at night. The start of the toboggan run is at the exit of the gondola lift, after which the route leads through bends and tunnels back to the valley station. It takes around 15 minutes for a leisurely ride.

Children are only permitted to use the toboggan run alone if they can safely steer the toboggan themselves and bring it to a halt at any time. Dogs are not permitted on the toboggan run. The use of steerable bobsleighs is permitted, but the use of inflatable, non-steerable vehicles is prohibited. Walking on the toboggan run is also not permitted.

Toboggan hire:

Toboggans can be hired directly at the lift ticket office for €9 or you can bring your own from home.
