Semmering-Hirschenkogel Bergbahnen are certified as an adventure mountain by the Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways!

The Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways seal of approval is an initiative of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce’s Cable Car Association and has stood for quality, cooperation and the sustainable development of Alpine mountain summer for over 20 years. The seal of quality is only awarded to mountain railways that pass a test covering 160 criteria. Each mountain railway specialises in at least one of the five themes of adventure, family, panorama & nature experience, enjoyment, art & culture. A variety of experiences are offered within these themes, such as summer toboggan runs, paragliding or downhill mountain bike trails. The fulfilment of the criteria is reviewed every three years. The aim is not only to guarantee guests a “basic offer”, but also to motivate them to visit the region.
